Adult camp
which God hath before ordained that we should.» Ephesians 2:10
Since 2006, Fimiam Church has partnered with brothers and sisters from other churches to organize camps for people with disabilities.
The main goal of each camp is to study God’s Word and understand the grace of Jesus Christ.
Each day at camp is filled with pleasant impressions and positive emotions for everyone. The participants get to know each other better, fellowship, and study God’s Word. They have opportunities to discover their talents at craft, art and English classes, get a haircut or makeover at the spa salon, ride horses, play a variety of games, and of course, share delicious meals together.
In the evenings, everyone enjoys watching a drama and then pondering their life while listening to the sermons.
And the final event of each day, of course, is fellowship around the campfire. Together we roast sausages, sing to the Lord, share our life experiences, listen to testimonies and watched inspiring videos.
On the closing day of camp there are tearful farewells, the exchange of phone numbers, and hugs. As a parting gift, each camper receives the camp group photo and a CD of all the camp photos.
The uniqueness of each camp leaves a lasting impression in the hearts of people with disabilities. Each camp provides a holiday for up to 50 people with disabilities. During the six days spent in the camp, people with disabilities, their family members, and the camp staff become a close-knit family of about 150 members.
