It was organized by NGO Agape Ukraine and Fimiam Church and also supported by CMF International with the assistance of June Johnson.
Over the five days of the retreat, the soldiers and their families enjoyed the incredible natural beauty of the Carpathian Mountains. Some of them have long been dreaming of climbing a mountain and that dream finally came true. Some simply wanted to catch up on sleep without constant shelling and air alarms.
They also had the opportunity to search for mushrooms.
The military families and retreat staff had good impressions from their visit to the Mountain Valley Peppers park. They attended classes on carpentry, wood carving and smithery, had the opportunity to feed sheep and goats, and concluded with a tasting of various cheeses.
They had an interesting program that included the participation of Oleksandr and Vasilina Motkalyuk, family counselors from Lviv. They discussed what is important for building good, harmonious relationships between a husband and wife, parents and children or simply between people on a team or at work.
This retreat passed quickly in such a warm and friendly environment. We eagerly anticipate God’s provision of another opportunity to meet!
