❤️“God himself sent you to us. We are sincerely thankful for your attention and for the wonderful presents for the children. Our faith does not fade away because of YOU. Thank you for the sweets. Say a big thank you to EVERYONE who took part in preparing the presents.” These are the words of gratitude from locals from the Kherson region.
Agape Ukraine staff began a distribution of Easter presents to the children of the front-line territories.
These children of war have experienced occupation and now they are living in the front-line villages which continue to experience severe fighting. Gun shots and shell explosions do not stop day or night.
The children are adept at understanding what is going around them: what kind of drone flew overhead, what type of calibre was shot, etc.
They have no emotions.
You look at these nice children’s faces and you see the look of adults in their eyes.
When the staff was passing out the presents, the children took the boxes into their hands, humbly said “thank you” and quickly left because life there has taught them the lesson that to live in a war zone means understanding that a drone can drop explosives at any moment.
During the trip, we managed to visit five villages of the Kherson region, distributing 250 presents as well as medication and hygiene products for adults.
