On January 15, 2022, we held a Christmas meeting of the New Opportunities Club. Forty-five people with disabilities and members of their families gathered with 25 volunteers to have a pleasant time of fellowship together. Six American missionaries from Youth with a Mission were able to join the team of Ukrainian volunteers from Fimiam Church.
The volunteers from America took an active part in the program by singing Christian songs, sharing their testimonies and encouraging people to trust God in all of their life circumstances. People with disabilities enjoyed spending time with the American guests, trying to remember their English language skills as well as using interpreters to communicate.
At the end of the meeting, everyone joined in prayer for peace and God’s protection over Ukraine. All of the guests enjoyed spending time together with friends.
